Question: In your line of work, do you prefer doing agricultural experiments in the lab or more theoretical work?

    I love lab work, but as I’m getting older I find the desk work more suited to my capabilities.

    I used to do a lab work, then I did a lot of field work. In the last 15 years I have been in an office. I love all of them as they have different aspects that stimulate me and match my age and aspirations.

    David, I have been lucky to have a balance of both; I do lab and field work but I get to do a lot of theoritical planning for my junior scientsist and also students.

    I spend most of my research time in the field, rather than at my desk or in the lab. I love it!!
