Hi Clairem, not really but once I got stuck in a glasshouse late evening because the door got jammed. Had to wait a while for someone to come and help, that time there were no mobiles around.
Yes I had a large volume of sulphuric acid spill on the floor from an experiment I was running. It started to eat the table legs and dry out my hair! I had to invoke emergency procedures to clean it up.
Nothing really terrible. But it’s very easy to make a mistake when doing trials so sometimes something would go wrong that might mess up the results to some extent. One time a colleague and I drove an hour out to a field trial to spray it and realised we had forgotten to pack the chemicals in the car >< we had to wait another hour for someone to bring them out to us..
Nothing really terrible, but I did almost lose an animal once… I was working with baby crocodiles, and one jumped from my hands and ran out the lab door. I had to move pretty quickly to catch it!

Luckily no. I’ve been lucky so far in the lab. We do spend a lot of time on health and safety, that may be a reason.
