Question: Can animals get high metabolism or does it only occur in humans?

    Hi Danig,

    Different types of animals have different metabolic rates, and they also differ between individual animals too. It is possible for animals to have higher metabolic rates than others, and when they do they have similar physiological changes, or symptoms, to humans – higher core body temperature, greater utilisation of energy reserves, greater demand for food to meet this greater energy output.
