Question: Hi if you had to disect one animal what would it be?

    I mainly work on plants. I really don’t enjoy dissecting animals except if we need to for an experimental reason. I’ll leave that one for the animal scientists on the panel.

    Hey @markwinterbottom5 – I don’t need to dissect animals in the research that I do. However, if researchers need to dissect animals for their work, they must be euthanised in a humane way so they don’t experience any pain or distress. This is essential, and how all scientists work.

    An octopus. I would never want one to be killed for dissection because they are such wonderful and intelligent creatures, but if I had the chance to look inside one that died of natural causes, I would love to see what allows them to move to strangely, how they support their jellyish bodies, how their suction cups work and what’s inside their huge heads.
