Thankyou Brent, Bec, Kim and Harjeet this was fun and I learnt so much from you all :)

Favourite Thing: Dissecting plants to look at all the parts inside them and figure out how they work. I like using microscopes to check out plant cells a little more closely, and I love it when i get to taste test food in the name of science ;)

Me and my work

I like plants and I study Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania

As a student I go to University every day and learn all about how plants and animals live and how their the parts of their bodies work. I also learn about the best ways to farm food and all the science behind it as well as some chemistry and how atoms behave and interact with each other.

My Typical Day

I go to a couple of lectures at the university and then usually have a practical class in the afternoon.

On a good day I sleep in until 9 o’clock then I go to my first lecture at the university. It might be about chemistry or biology of plants or animals or about sustainable agriculture. I go to two or three lectures in the morning and then some days we get to cut up plants or animals, play with chemicals or go on an excursion to a farm in the afternoon 🙂

What I'd do with the money

Something to teach kids about Agriculture

Unless you grow up on a farm or live in the countryside, you might live your life never really knowing much about where food comes from or all the work that goes into producing it. Schools don’t usually teach much about agriculture so I would love to create something to something to teach kids a bit about growing food (and plants because plants are very cool).
